A file extension shows the type of data in the file, what kind of data are in, by which operating system and which software are supported, what sort of charge the said file has amongst another files. File extension is an abbreviation which generally consists of numbers and characters and is mostly three characters.
We can see the file name as the name of people and the file extension as surname. As is known, a surname indicates which descent this person comes from. As for the file extensions indicates by which software the said file are constituted. Alike, it indicates which descent it comes from.
We need set of software to open some of files. But there are kinds of files running by-itself, too. For example, an extension ".exe" runs by-itself. We don’t feel the need any software to power this files having this extension. But we need software showing image to open a file having extension ".jpg".
A file extension is an abbreviation which consists of numbers and characters following "." (point) indicator. For example: Let's handle a file named "document.doc". Here, "document" statement indicates the name of file. "doc" following "." (point) indicates the file extension. "doc" extension runs with Microsoft Word. Of course, ".doc" extension is a type of file which is rather popular and is often encountered in the daily use of PC and a lot of people know that this extension is Microsoft Word document.
A lot of file extension come in to our life with the growth of computer software. Certainly, it is impossible to retain all of them. To learn which file extension how function has and which software or which software runs with, you can use http://www.filezed.com web address. Here there are quite useful data related to a lot of the file extension.
